Welcome!
My name is Bella Chlada, and I am honored to serve as the 2024-2025 President of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) here at Illinois State University. I joined ESA in the Fall of 2022 just shortly after beginning my freshman year. I never would have imagined how many doors ESA would open up for me throughout my collegiate experience or how many wonderful women I would meet.
Our sisterhood at Illinois State is home to over ninety active members, as well as hundreds of alumni members. We welcome individuals with any background into our sisterhood and heavily focus on service, hence our “service sorority” designation. With three philanthropies and many junior philanthropic connections, the sisters of ESA constantly blow me away with their dedication to serving our community.
The 2024-2025 Executive Board consists of 32 active members. I am proud to lead alongside such strong, determined, and kind women. I am even more honored to lead our executive board and chapter in a way that inspires our sisters to be the change in their communities and advocate for others.
As you explore our website, I urge you to think about your “why.” More specifically, think about why you value service and how you would like to manifest it into your collegiate experience. It’s okay to not have that all figured out just yet - your sisters are here to help :).
I knew that ESA was the perfect place for me when I saw the combination of service and sisterhood, two key values in my life. At its core, Epsilon Sigma Alpha exists to serve others. A leader I admire recently expressed that the best individuals are the ones who set out to make a difference in their community and organization. You can make a difference, and I am forever supportive of your efforts.
With love,
Bella Chlada
